Job Board: Getting Started

Careerly Careerly Help

First-time orientation for Job Board administrators, including Membership Plans for posting quotas, go-live checklist, and links to detailed guides.

The Job Board lets your organization run a moderated employment marketplace on your website. You create and publish jobs for employers. Employers and job seekers can register immediately; new seeker profiles start private. Employers manage applicants in their client portal.

This guide orients you on first login. Use the linked articles below for step-by-step instructions on each area.

What you will manage

  • Configuration — job categories, lookup tables (industries, employment types, skills), and notification email
  • Membership Plans — optional plans that grant Job Board access and per-plan job/resume posting quotas (see Membership Plans and Posting Quotas)
  • Content moderation — approve job postings, manage employer and job seeker profiles
  • Your public site — embed the job board on pages visitors already use
  • Community guides — share employer and job seeker guides with your members

Your go-live checklist

When you open /jb (Job Board Home), a checklist shows four items that must be complete before your board is ready:

  1. Job categories defined — at least one category belongs to your account; shared platform defaults alone do not complete this checklist
  2. At least one employer profile — a company record on the board
  3. At least one approved posting — a job with status Active
  4. Notification email configured — contact Net3000 support or your account manager to set this up (there is no in-app settings page yet)

The Home page also shows live counts, recent activity, and an Open Public Job Board link once your site URL is configured.

Recommended setup order

  1. Configure your Job Board — categories and lookup tables
  2. If you sell memberships, set up Membership Plans and grant Job Board with quotas on each plan
  3. Manage postings, people, and applications — create employers, approve jobs, review applications
  4. Add Job Board to your website — embed listings, registration, and sign-in on your public pages
  5. Share the end-user guides with your community:

Where to work day to day

  • Job Board Home (/jb) — checklist, quick links, recent activity
  • Dashboard (/jb/dashboard) — postings funnel (Pending Review, Active, closed) and activity counters
  • Job Postings, Employers, Job Seekers, Applications — under the main navigation tabs
  • Lookup Tables — categories, industries, skills, employment types, and related lists
  • Membership Plans / Members — when using paid or free memberships for posting quotas
