Before employers and job seekers use your board, set up the taxonomy and reference data they will see when posting and searching jobs. Most of this lives under Lookup Tables in the Job Board admin area.

Job categories
Open Lookup Tables → Job Categories to manage your category tree.
- Categories can have an optional parent category (two levels). Parent categories roll up child postings when visitors filter jobs.
- Categories are listed alphabetically, and the filter on your board only shows categories used by at least one live posting.
Shared defaults: Your account may already see platform-wide categories (shared defaults). Shared defaults appear in public forms but not in your account's admin list. Add an account-specific category to complete the Home checklist. Add your own categories when you need labels specific to your community. See Job Categories for details.
Lookup tables
Under the Lookup Tables menu, review and customize these lists used when creating job postings and employer profiles:
- Industries
- Industry labels for employers and postings
- Employment Types
- Full-time, part-time, contract, internship, and similar
- Work Arrangements
- On-site, remote, hybrid
- Salary Periods
- Monthly, annually, hourly, etc.
- Skill Categories & Job Skills
- Grouped skills attachable to postings
Like categories, shared platform defaults may already populate these lists. You can use them as-is or add account-specific rows. Each list has its own help article with the details.
Notification email
The Home checklist includes Application notification email configured. There is no settings page inside Job Board for this yet; ask Net3000 support or your account manager to record the address for your account.
Careerly can send new-application notifications to your configured notification address. Verify delivery before relying on email, and keep checking Job Applications and the Dashboard.
After you configure
- Return to the Job Board home page and confirm the categories checklist item is complete.
- Proceed to managing postings and profiles to add employers and approve your first job.
- When you are ready to launch, follow Adding Job Board to your website.
