This guide covers day-to-day administration: approving jobs, managing employer and job seeker profiles, and reviewing applications. Moderation happens on each record's detail page — there is no separate moderation queue.

Start from the Dashboard
Open Dashboard for an operational overview:
- Postings funnel — Pending Review, Active, and closed statuses (each card opens the Job Postings list)
- Activity counters — new postings, applications, employers, and job seekers (this week vs all time)
The Job Board home page also shows recent activity and quick links with live counts.
Job postings
Manage listings under Job Postings. You create every posting; employers can't post jobs from your website. Create or edit a posting, then set its status:
- Draft — work in progress, not submitted
- Pending Review — awaiting your approval; you can choose a different status when creating an admin posting
- Active — live on your public job board
- Closed / Archived / Rejected — no longer public; Rejected means you declined the posting
Only Active postings that haven't passed their expiry date appear on your public site. To approve a job, open it and change the status to Active.
Postings support rich descriptions, salary range, categories, industries, skills, deadlines, and a featured flag. Use the Status column in the list to find pending items quickly. See Job Postings for every field.
Employer profiles
Manage companies under Employer Profiles. Key fields:
- Verified
- Mark employers you have reviewed. The public employer page can show their Verified badge.
- Active
- Inactive employers are hidden from public views
You can create employer profiles in admin or receive them when employers register on your public site. Self-registered employers are Active straight away.
Job seeker profiles
Manage candidates under Job Seeker Profiles. Two settings describe the candidate:
- Public Profile
- Controls whether the candidate's profile can appear publicly. New profiles start private; obtain consent before making one public.
- Actively Looking for Job
- Signals that the candidate is open to opportunities
Job applications
Review applications under Job Applications. Each application links a posting to a job seeker and tracks status through your hiring workflow:
Draft, Submitted, Reviewed, Shortlisted, Interviewed, Offered, Rejected, Withdrawn, Approved, Archived.
Job seekers see the status you set in their dashboard. Add employer notes on the application detail page for internal tracking; job seekers don't see them.
Daily workflow tips
- Check the Dashboard for pending postings.
- Approve quality jobs by setting status to Active.
- Review new employer and seeker registrations from Home recent activity.
- Triage applications and update statuses as you progress candidates. Careerly supports applicant emails for Shortlisted and Not selected decisions. Verify delivery for your account; other status changes still need your own follow-up.
