Hotel Rates is your rate sheet for the hotels you sell. Each rate is a nightly cost for one room type at one hotel over a date range. Almotawif uses these rates, plus your commission and tax, to price build-your-own Umrah trips (Customize a Package) automatically.
How to get there
In the Almotawif menu, click Hotel Rates.
Add a rate
- Under Select Hotel, type the hotel name and pick it from the list. Every rate needs a hotel.
- Enter the Room Type, for example Single Room, Double Room, Triple Room, Quad Room or Suite.
- Fill in the costs, commission, tax and Date Range (see the table below).
- Click Add. The rate appears in the list below the form.
Fields
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Room Type | The room travelers choose, such as Double Room. |
| Meal Code | Meal plan included with the room, for example breakfast only (optional). |
| Guests | How many people the room sleeps. |
| Weekday Cost in SAR | Your nightly cost in Saudi riyals. It's converted to your currency using the SAR Exchange Rate. |
| Weekend Days and Weekend Cost | Optional. A different nightly cost for the days you tick. |
| Child Cost | A percentage added to the room cost for each child. |
| Room Commission | Your markup on the room, as a percentage or a fixed amount. |
| Tax | Tax percentage added to the room cost. |
| Date Range | The dates this rate is valid for. |
| Agent Only | Labels the room as Agent Only so your staff can tell agent rates apart when building a quote. |
Exchange rate
The SAR Exchange Rate box shows how much one Saudi riyal is worth in your currency. Change it and click the save icon next to it. It's the same setting as 1 Saudi Riyal = in Almotawif Configuration, and it applies to all your rates.
How a quote is priced
For each night of a stay, Almotawif takes the rate's cost, converts it from riyals, adds the child percentage for any children, then adds tax, the room commission and the per-person Commission Rates from Almotawif Configuration. The nights are added up for the stay.
A room is only offered for a city if your rates cover every night of the stay there. If a hotel doesn't show up in a quote, check that the date ranges have no gaps.
Change or delete a rate
- To change a rate, edit the values in its row and click Edit (the save button on that row).
- To remove a rate, click the delete button on its row. It's removed straight away, without a confirmation step.
Tips
- Add one rate per room type and season. For a price change mid-season, end the old date range the day before the new one starts.
- If you use weekend pricing, build a test quote with Customize a Package on the Reservations screen and check that the right nights get the weekend cost.
- Remove rates that have expired to keep the list short.
