Categories group your products so shoppers can browse. Each category has its own page on your website, and a category can sit inside another one as a subcategory.
How to get there
Open Storefront3000 and click Categories in the menu.
The category list
- Search with Search categories, or click ID or Title to sort. Subcategories show their parent category under the title.
- To change the order categories appear in, edit the number next to each one and click Save Sorting.
- The Products button on each row shows how many products are in the category and opens them (see below).
- Tick categories, choose Delete Selected, Hide Selected or Unhide Selected, and click Go.
Create a category
- Click Add a Category.
- Enter the Title.
- Optionally choose a Parent Category to make it a subcategory, and adjust the Link (the page address on your site).
- Write a Description and click Save.

| Social Media | Post the category to your connected social accounts now, or schedule it. |
Put products in a category and sort them
- Open a product under Products, go to its Categories tab, tick the categories and click Save. See Products.
- Back in Categories, click the Products button on a category to see what's in it.
- Change the numbers to set the order products appear in and click Save Sorting, or remove a product from the category.
Tips
- Only products marked Available show on a category page.
- Hide a seasonal category instead of deleting it, so its link and settings are kept for next time.
