Affiliates is where you keep the partners who send customers your way, each with their own code, link and agreed commission rate.
How to get there
Open Storefront3000 and click Affiliates in the menu.
Add an affiliate
- Click Add an Affiliate.
- Enter First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone, and a Password with Confirm Password.
- Enter the Commission Rate and choose % (a percentage of the sale) or $ (a fixed amount).
- Enter a Code. It's used for the affiliate link, so give every affiliate a different code.
- Leave Active ticked, and click Save.
The affiliate list
The list shows each affiliate's ID, name, code, commission rate and status, plus an Affiliate Link: your website address with the affiliate's number added, ready to copy and send. Search with Search affiliate, click a row to edit it, or tick rows and use Delete Selected.
What Storefront3000 does and doesn't do
- The commission rate is kept for your records. Storefront3000 doesn't calculate, total or pay commissions. Work them out from your orders.
- Affiliates don't have a page on your website to see their sales.
- An order is only credited to an affiliate if your website remembers the affiliate from their link until checkout. Ask us to confirm your site is set up for this before you hand out links.
Tips
- Untick Active instead of deleting an affiliate you've stopped working with, so their history stays.
- To reward a partner with a discount for their audience instead, create a code in Promotions.
