A session can be paid in full at registration, with a deposit and a later balance, or in weekly or monthly instalments.
Set the plan on a session
Open a program and edit its session. Choose full payment, a deposit with a balance due date, or weekly or monthly instalments. The instalment count includes the payment made when registering.
- A deposit applies to each student in the session and includes tax. It cannot be more than that student's discounted tuition including tax.
- Fees and their tax are paid in full when registering.
- For a deposit, enter a balance due date or the number of days before the session starts. An open-date session needs a specific balance due date.
Changes apply to new registrations. Existing schedules keep their recorded dates and amounts.
What the customer sees
Before paying, the customer sees the amount due today and the later payment dates. They can accept the schedule or pay the full amount today. Saved-card payment providers collect later payments automatically. With other providers, the customer gets a reminder and pays from My courses. They can also pay the remaining balance early from their account.
Follow a schedule
Open a registration's Payment section to see the schedule, recorded amounts and overdue status. Staff with write access can move an unpaid future date or change its retry limit before its first attempt. A later failed payment does not cancel the registration or its seats.
If a payment's outcome is still being checked, collection is blocked until that transaction is reconciled. You can customize the receipt, failed-payment and due-payment email templates. Ask Net3000 to turn on scheduled collection after you have tested a plan.
