Lesson release schedule

Educatify Educatify Help

Unlock modules and lessons immediately, a number of days after the session starts, or on a fixed date.

You can schedule when each module or lesson becomes available. Until that date, students see the lesson title with Available on and the date. They cannot open its content or files, or mark it complete. Staff can still use Preview as student to review locked lessons.

Set a release rule

  1. Open a saved program and select Content.
  2. Edit a module to apply one rule to every lesson in that module, or edit a lesson to override the module.
  3. Choose a release option:
    • Available immediately opens as soon as the student's enrolment allows learning.
    • Days after session start unlocks on day N after the session start (or after the registration date for open-date programs), in your account time zone. Day 7 is locked on day 6 and open on day 7.
    • Fixed date unlocks on that calendar date in your account time zone.

A lesson rule always wins over the module rule. Leave the lesson on Use module rule to inherit it. Set your time zone under Educatify Settings so release days match your school calendar. Changing a rule later updates what students can open.

New lesson email

When a scheduled lesson unlocks, Educatify can email the student, or the paying client if the student has no email. The message is the Online Learning - New lesson available template. Ask Net3000 to turn on the daily send when you are ready. It is off by default. An email already sent for a lesson is not sent again.
