Uploading course attribute values from a spreadsheet

Educatify Educatify Help

Fill in custom course details such as level, age group or duration for many courses at once with a CSV file, and let visitors filter by them.

Course attributes are your own extra details on a course – skill level, age group, duration, language, format and so on. Visitors can use them to filter courses in your catalog and category pages.

Set up your attributes

  1. Open Course Attributes and add each attribute with a name and whether it holds text or a number.
  2. Choose whether it appears as a filter on your website and on the course list.
  3. For number attributes you can add ranges (for example "Under 6", "6–12", "13+") that visitors pick from.

Upload values for many courses

  1. Prepare a CSV file with two columns: the course code and the value for that course.
  2. On the Course Attributes page, open the attribute's menu and choose Upload Attributes (up to 5,000 rows at a time).
  3. Educatify checks every row – unknown course codes, and text where a number is expected, are reported – and tells you how many values were added, updated and cleared.

You can still edit a single course's values from the course's own page. Turning an attribute off hides it without losing the values you've entered.
