Settings control how Educatify works for your whole account: the words your website uses, how customers can pay, and what the registration form asks for. Set these up first, before you open registration.
How to get there
Open Educatify → Catalog Setup → Settings. The page has four sections on the left. Make your changes, then click Update at the bottom to save all sections at once.
General
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Student Label | What you call the people who attend, for example "Student", "Participant" or "Child". |
| Program label | What you call your offerings, for example "Program", "Course" or "Class". |
| Time zone | The time zone for your sessions and registrations. |
| Send registrants to a registration complete page | By default a finished registration is confirmed on the same page. Tick this to send customers to a separate thank-you page instead, which advertising and analytics tools need to count a sale. Use View page to see it and Edit page to change its wording or add tracking code. |
Who on your team receives registration emails is set in Account Settings → Notifications. There is a link to it at the top of this section.
Course Reviews
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Display reviews on course pages | Shows approved reviews on each program's page. You can still turn reviews off for a single program on its Reviews tab. |
| Reviews per page | How many reviews show per page on a program page (1 to 50). |
| Send automated review invitation emails | Emails students a review invitation after their session starts, with a reminder if they do not respond. Requires reviews to be displayed. |
| Invite delay (days) / Reminder delay (days) | Days after the first session starts to send the invitation, and days after the invitation to send the reminder. |
Automatic review invitations are not switched on across our platform yet, so these emails are not being sent even when ticked. Contact us if you would like them. Until then, send invitations from Registrations (see Reviews).
Payment Options
- Currency: the currency for prices and payments.
- Cash: tick to accept cash, and type the instructions customers see, such as where and when to pay.
- Check: tick to accept cheques, and type who to make them payable to and where to send them.
- Online: tick to accept card payments at checkout. Cards are charged through your primary payment gateway, which you set up under APIs → Payment Gateways.
If you accept only one method, it is selected for the customer automatically. With several, the customer chooses at checkout. Card payments confirm the registration straight away; cash and cheque registrations stay Pending until you confirm them.
Registration Requirements
Tick the details the registration form should ask for:
- Request applicant address: the customer's address. This is always on when your account has tax rates set up, because the country and province are needed to charge the right tax.
- Request guardian information for applications: parent or guardian contact details.
- Request Emergency Contacts: emergency contact names and phone numbers.
- Request health card details: health information for each student.
Ask only for what you need. Every extra field makes registration a little longer for your customers.
