Assignments

Educatify Educatify Help

Collect homework on an assignment lesson, set a due date, and grade submissions from Needs grading.

Assignments let students turn in homework or a project for a program that has Online Learning.

Set up an assignment

On the program Content tab, add a lesson and choose type Assignment. Use the lesson text for the instructions. Then set:

  • Due date: none, day N after the session start (or after registration for an open-date program), or a fixed date.
  • Late cutoff: an optional last day when late work is still accepted.
  • Text and files: which answers students may send, allowed file types, and the maximum size and count.
  • Grading: points, with an optional pass mark, or pass or fail.
  • Must pass for course completion: the student needs a passing grade before an online-lesson certificate can be issued.

What the student does

In My learning, the student opens the assignment, enters text and uploads files, then clicks Submit. They can resubmit until the due date (or the late cutoff), or until you grade. After you grade, they see the score, feedback, and any feedback file you attached.

Grade a submission

Open the program's Needs grading tab. Choose a submission, enter a score or pass or fail, write feedback, and optionally upload a feedback file. Saving the grade emails the student, and the paying client when they use a different email. Your registrations notification addresses are told when a student submits.
