A job seeker profile is a candidate on your job board. Most profiles are created automatically when someone registers as a job seeker on your website or applies to a job. You can also add and edit profiles yourself here.
How to get there
Open Careerly → Job Seeker Profiles.
The list
The list shows each candidate's ID, Name, Email, Phone, Current Job Title and City. Search by name, email or job title. Use the pencil button to open a profile and the bin button to delete it.
Add or edit a profile
- Click Create New, or the pencil button on an existing profile.
- Enter First Name, Last Name and Email. These three are required.
- Fill in any other details you have (see below).
- Click Save.
Profile fields
| Field | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Phone, Address, City, Province, Country | Contact details and location. |
| Current Job Title, Years of Experience | A quick sense of the candidate's level. |
| Summary | A short professional summary in the candidate's own words. |
| Resume | A text box for pasting résumé text. Résumé files are attached to individual applications instead; see Job Applications. |
| LinkedIn URL, Portfolio URL | Links to the candidate's online profiles or work. |
| Desired Salary Min, Desired Salary Max | The pay range the candidate is looking for. |
| Public Profile | Controls public profile visibility. New profiles start private, including self-registered, admin-created and apply-created profiles. Only make a profile public with the candidate's permission. |
| Actively Looking for Job | Whether the candidate is open to work. In their own dashboard this shows as Actively Looking or Not Looking. |
Once a profile is saved, the page also shows embed code for displaying it on a web page. Only publish a candidate's profile with their permission.
What job seekers can change themselves
Signed-in job seekers edit their own name, email, phone, address, job title, experience, summary, LinkedIn and portfolio links, desired salary and Actively looking setting from their dashboard on your website. Their changes appear here straight away. See Your customers' client portal.
Membership limits
If you sell membership plans with a résumé limit, Careerly checks the job seeker's plan when a new profile is added and shows a message when the limit is reached. See Job Board: Membership Plans and Posting Quotas.
Tips
- There is no approval step for job seekers. New registrations are live straight away, so check new arrivals in Recent Activity on the Careerly home page.
- To see what a candidate has applied for, search their name in Job Applications.
- Deleting removes the profile from the normal admin list and public website.
