Industries describe the line of business of an employer or a job, for example Healthcare, Construction or Technology.
How to get there
Open Careerly → Lookup Tables → Industries.
Where industries are used
- The Industry field on an employer profile, and the industry list employers pick from when they register on your website.
- The Industries field on a job posting (a posting can have several).
- The industry filter on your public job board. The filter only lists industries used by at least one live posting.
Add, rename or delete an industry
- Click Create New, type the Industry Name and click Save.
- To rename one, click its pencil button, change the name and save. The new name shows everywhere the industry is used.
- To delete one, click its bin button, or tick several and delete them together. Deleting is permanent.
Good to know
- This list shows only the industries you've added. Your board may also include standard industries provided by Net3000. Those appear in the forms and filters but aren't listed here and can't be edited.
- Before deleting an industry, move any employers and postings that use it to another one. Renaming is usually safer than deleting.
- Keep the list short and distinct so the filter is easy to use.
