Rentals3000 Rentals3000 Help

Add and edit your rental units in Rentals3000: title, description, guest limits, photos, seasonal rates, blocked dates and the embed code for your website.

The Rooms page is where you list each unit guests can book, whether it's a room, a suite or a whole property. For each one you set its description and photos, the rates guests pay in each season, and any dates you want to keep for yourself.

How to get there

Open Rentals3000 → Rooms. The list shows each room's ID and title. Type part of a title in the search box and click Search to find a room, or click the ID or Title heading to sort.

Add a room

  1. Click Create a New Room.
  2. Fill in the details below and click Save.
  3. Once the room is saved, the Room Images, Room Rates, Block Dates and Embed tabs appear. Add at least one rate before you take bookings.

To change a room later, click the edit icon on its row.

Title & Description

FieldWhat to enter
Title (required)The name guests see, such as "Lakeview Suite".
Maximum Adults (required) and Maximum ChildrenThe number of adults and children included in the room's base rate. Each extra guest adds a charge per night, as set on the room's rates (see How prices are worked out below).
Feature ImageThe main photo shown for the room.
Social Media ImageThe picture used when someone shares the room's page on Facebook, LinkedIn or X. If you leave it empty, the Feature Image is used.
DescriptionEverything guests should know: beds, view, amenities, house rules. You can format the text and add links.

Room Images

Build a photo gallery for the room:

  1. Click Upload Files, choose one or more photos (JPG, PNG, WebP or TIFF), and click Upload.
  2. Or click Add a Blank Image and choose or paste the picture yourself.
  3. Give each photo a short title, then click its save icon.
  4. To remove a photo, click its trash icon.

Photos appear in the order they were added and can't be rearranged. Give every photo a different file name before you upload it, because a photo with the same file name as one you uploaded earlier can replace it.

Room Rates

Rates set what guests pay per night during a date range, so you can charge more in high season and less in low season.

  1. Click Add a Rate.
  2. Enter From and To, the first and last nights the rate applies to.
  3. Enter the Rate, the nightly price for the room.
  4. Enter Adults (required). The price doesn't currently change with this number.
  5. Optionally enter a Child Rate and a Single Supplement (see below), then click Save.

Rates are listed with their dates, price and adults. Use the edit icon to change one or the trash icon to delete it.

How prices are worked out

  • Each night of a stay is priced with the rate whose dates cover that night. If two rates cover the same night, the one that starts later is used, so you can add a short special period, such as a holiday week, on top of a season.
  • For every adult above the room's Maximum Adults, that night's Single Supplement is added.
  • For every child above the room's Maximum Children, that night's Child Rate is added.
  • The stay's price is the total of all its nights. No taxes or fees are added.
  • A night that no rate covers is priced at zero. Make sure your rates cover every night you accept bookings.

Block Dates

Use block dates to record periods when the room isn't available, for example when it's booked through another site such as Expedia or Booking.com, or kept for maintenance or your own use.

  1. Click Add Block Dates.
  2. Enter the Start Date and End Day, leave Block ticked, and click Save.

Blocked dates are for your records for now: the booking form doesn't yet stop guests from choosing them, so check new bookings against them before you confirm. To change a blocked period, delete it and add it again, because editing an existing period can move its end date.

Embed

The Embed tab gives you a ready-made snippet that shows this room on another website. Copy it and paste it into the page where the room should appear, or send it to whoever manages that website. If your website is hosted by Net3000.ca, your room pages are usually set up for you.

Delete a room

Click the trash icon on the room's row, or tick several rooms and click Delete Selected. Deleting a room removes it from your website and can't be undone, so check that it has no upcoming bookings first.
