When a member adds a listing, or changes one that was already published, it waits for your approval before it appears in the directory (unless their tier publishes automatically).
You are told right away
As soon as a listing is waiting for review:
- an email goes to the notification address in your account settings, and
- an instant notification appears for your team if you have notifications switched on.
Your admin Dashboard also has a Business Directory card showing how many listings are waiting, how many are published, how many were added in the last 30 days, and the oldest listings in the queue.
Reviewing a listing
- Go to Business Directory → Moderation. The queue lists every listing waiting for review.
- Click a business name to open the full listing and check its details.
- Choose what to do:
| Action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Approve | The listing is published and appears in the directory straight away. |
| Reject | The listing is not published. You must give a reason — the member sees it on their My Listings page. |
| Suspend | Takes a published listing out of the directory. You must give a reason, which the member also sees. |
| Reinstate | Puts a suspended listing back in the directory. |
Writing a good reason
The member reads your reason word for word, so keep it short and specific — for example “Please add a phone number or website so visitors can contact you.” The member can then fix the listing and save it, which sends it back to you for review.
Every decision is recorded
Each approval, rejection, suspension and reinstatement is kept with who made it and when, so your team can see a listing's history.
