When a customer books an airport round trip, Limo Man creates two reservations, one for each leg, so you can dispatch and manage each ride separately. For the customer, it's one booking.
Payment
- The customer's card is charged once, for both legs together.
- In your reservations, both legs show the payment with the same reference. The outbound leg carries the amount and the return leg shows $0, so the money isn't counted twice.
- The charge description starts with the reservation number, which makes it easy to find in Stripe.
Emails
- The customer gets one confirmation email with both rides: dates, pickup and drop-off for the outbound and the return.
- Your team gets one booking email with both legs.
- The per-ride text messages still go out for each leg.
You can change the wording of both emails in your email templates.
Tips and empty-leg charges
A tip or an empty-leg (deadhead) charge on a round trip is charged once for the whole journey, not once per leg.
In the customer's account
The two legs show together as one Round trip card. If the customer cancels within your cut-off, they're told whether both legs or just the remaining leg will be cancelled.
