Limo Man Limo Man Help

What your customers see and do in their account on your website (trips, cancelling, receipts, paying a balance, tracking, quotes, booking again, saved addresses) and how Remember me on this device speeds up rebooking.

Everyone who books with you gets an account on your website. It's where they follow their trips and book again. With the optional Remember me on this device, a returning customer's phone or computer also recognises them the next time they book. Together they turn one-time bookers into repeat customers who rebook faster and manage their own trips, without calling your office for every change.

What this gives your customers (and you)

  • Faster rebooking: returning riders spend less time retyping contact details, addresses and card information.
  • Self-service trips: customers look up upcoming and past bookings, print receipts, pay a balance and cancel within your cut-off themselves instead of asking staff.
  • Up-to-date details: riders keep their saved addresses current, so the next booking and your client records stay accurate.
  • Less office friction: fewer "what's my pickup address?" and "do you still have my card?" calls for routine repeat trips.
  • Safe by design: remembering a device only speeds up booking; seeing trips and changing account details still needs a password sign-in.

How customers get in

  • An account is created automatically the first time someone books.
  • They sign in from the My Account link in your site's menu with their email and password. If your site doesn't have that link yet, ask us to add it.
  • Customers who booked without a password click Set your password on the sign-in page. They get an email to choose one.
  • Customers who were recognised through Remember me on this device can book faster, but they need their password to open their account.

My Limo Trips

Trips are split into Upcoming trips and Past trips. A round trip shows as one card. Each card shows the pickup date and time, pickup and drop-off addresses, and status. Clicking a trip opens its details:

  • Receipt: a printable page with the trip, the charges, the payments and any balance due.
  • Pay balance: shown when money is still owed, for example after a deposit. The customer pays by card, and you both get a payment receipt by email. The amount always comes from the booking; the customer can't change it.
  • Track my chauffeur: shown while the chauffeur is on the way. It opens the same live map as the text message.
  • Your quote is ready: on a trip you've quoted, the customer sees the price and expiry date, can View & accept (and pay), or Decline with an optional note. You get an email when they decline.
  • Book again: opens your booking form with the same route, trip type, passengers and vehicle. The customer picks the new date and time.
  • Cancel trip: available until your cut-off time before pickup. On a round trip the customer is told whether both legs or only the remaining leg will be cancelled. Cancelling doesn't refund anyone automatically. You get an email and decide on any refund.

Set the cancellation cut-off

In Limo Man → Settings → Client self-service, set Cancel and modify cutoff: the number of hours before pickup after which customers can no longer cancel online and must contact you.

Saved Addresses

Customers add, edit and remove the addresses they book from most. These appear in the Saved list next to the pickup and drop-off fields on the booking form.

Remember me on this device

Returning customers shouldn't have to type everything again. To turn it on:

  1. On the last step of the booking form, the customer ticks Remember me on this device (it's unticked by default).
  2. After booking, they get an email with a confirmation link naming the device in plain language (for example "iPhone" or "Windows PC"). The link works for 24 hours, and nothing is remembered until they click it.
  3. They open that email on the same device and browser they want remembered and click the link. The booking form, thank-you page and email all tell them this.

When they confirm, they can also set a password for their account.

Next time, the booking form welcomes the customer by first name and they can continue with one click. Their contact details, saved addresses and card on file are filled in, with no password needed.

A remembered device only helps with booking. To see their trips, change account details or manage devices, the customer signs in with their password.

Trusted devices

In their account, customers open Trusted devices to see each device they've trusted and remove any of them. Signed-in customers can also trust the device they're using by entering their password. On the booking form, Untrust this device removes the current device.

On shared or public computers, customers should leave Remember me on this device unticked. If they trust a device by mistake, they can remove it from Trusted devices or with Untrust this device on the booking form.

What you need to know as an admin

  • No extra switch to turn on: the client account and trusted devices are part of Limo Man once it's on your account.
  • Clients in Limo Man remains your view of the same customers (addresses, payments and reservations).
  • Email wording: you can change the wording of the device confirmation email in your email templates to match your brand.
  • Your website: sites we host already include the account pages. If your site is maintained separately, ask us what it needs for sign-in and device confirmation to work.

Common questions

  • Does every booking create an account? Yes. Booking creates or updates the client record for that email so they can set a password and sign in. Remember me on this device is optional and separate from setting a password.
  • Can customers only see their own trips? Yes. Customers only ever see their own trips.
  • Do account pages show up in search engines? No. Account pages are hidden from search engines.
  • Does this track people across other websites? No. The saved device is for your site only.

For the platform-wide explanation, see Trusted Devices: Remembering a Customer's Browser for Faster Checkout.
