Choose who gets notified about form submissions

Simply CMS Simply CMS Help

Add email and SMS recipients for each form, and pick the fields that hold the visitor's email and name so you can reply straight from your inbox.

Each form has a Notifications tab that controls who hears about new submissions and how visitors are answered.

Add email and SMS recipients

  1. Go to Forms, open the form and choose the Notifications tab.
  2. In the email box, type an address and press Enter. It becomes a small tag. Add as many as you need.
  3. Under SMS Notifications, type a mobile number and press Enter to add it the same way.
  4. To remove a recipient, click the × on its tag.
  5. Save.

If a form has no recipients of its own, your default notification emails from Settings are used.

The same tag-style boxes are used for account-wide notifications under Settings → Notifications. Those save automatically.

Reply to visitors from your inbox

Set Sender Email Field to the field where visitors type their email address. It's used in two places:

  • Reply-To: when you click Reply on a notification email, your reply goes to the visitor.
  • Confirmation email: the visitor's copy of their submission is sent to that address.

If the form already has submissions, the box suggests fields that look like email addresses. Click the list icon to choose from all the fields in the latest submission.

Set Sender Name Field the same way, so notifications show the visitor's name. Use the list icon to search the fields from the latest submission.

From the email to the submission

Each notification email links to the submission in your admin area, so you can open, review or export it in one click.
