Forms

Simply CMS Simply CMS Help

Overview of Forms in Simply CMS: build a form, choose who is notified, and review submissions and attachments.

What you can do here

Create and manage web forms that collect visitor submissions on your site, such as contact, quote-request or application forms.

How to get there

Open the admin menu: Forms

The parts of a form

Open a form, or create a new one, to see its tabs:

  • Title: the form's name and general settings.
  • Response: what visitors see after they submit, either a Response Page message or a Redirect URL.
  • Notifications: who gets an email or text message about each new submission, and which fields hold the visitor's email and name.
  • Templates: the form itself. Build it field by field in Design mode, or bring in a form made elsewhere with Paste or Upload.
  • Form Fields: the list of fields the form collects. Forms built in the designer keep this list up to date for you.
  • Embed: the code for placing the form on your website.

Submissions

Every time a visitor fills in a form, a submission is saved. Go to Forms → Submissions to open, review or export them. Each notification email also links straight to its submission. Files that visitors attach are stored privately and can only be opened by signed-in staff.
