Publish the catalog, schedule the sessions, fill the seats.
Talented Technology Training Canada, an Edmonton-based training provider, runs its whole enrolment operation on our hosted Course Management platform — a course catalog, session scheduling by location and trainer, and online student registration and payment, embedded directly into its own website. We host, run and support it.
The challenge
A training provider's website has to do more than list courses — it has to sell seats. Students need to browse the catalog, find a session that fits their schedule and location, register, and pay, all without a phone call; and staff need a single place to publish courses, open and close sessions, assign trainers, set pricing, and see who's coming. Talented Technology Training wanted that full loop running inside their own branded website, without building and maintaining a registration system themselves.
What we built
- A managed course catalog. Staff publish courses organized by category and format, each with pricing, badges and packages, from a single admin at
/sc/— no developer involvement to add or update a course. - Session scheduling by location & trainer. Each course runs as scheduled sessions tied to a location, a trainer and a price, with seat capacity tracked per session — so sold-out dates close themselves and staff always know remaining capacity.
- Self-serve student registration. Students search the catalog, pick a session, register and pay online. Returning students' details are remembered so re-registering for the next term is quick, and promotions can be applied at checkout.
- Staff-assisted registration wizard. For phone-in and walk-in sign-ups, staff create a registration on a client's behalf through a guided 4-step wizard — pick or create the client, choose the session, add one or more students with a running total, then review and record payment by Cash, Cheque, Purchase Order or Complimentary. It fires the same confirmation emails as a public registration.
- Embedded in their own website. The public catalog and registration flow are delivered through lightweight iframes backed by our
scAPIs, so everything lives on the client's own domain and branding rather than sending students off to a third-party portal. - Content Management alongside it. The same account also runs our Content Management app for pages, banners and forms — so marketing content and the course engine are managed from one hosted platform.
Under the hood
The Course Management application is part of the Net3000 hosted platform: an ASP.NET Core admin and JSON API over EF Core and SQL Server, with the public catalog and registration flow surfaced through embeddable iframes on the client's own site. Because it's multi-tenant and fully hosted by us, the client gets the whole system — courses, sessions, trainers, registrations, payments and confirmation emails — without running any infrastructure of their own.
Outcome
Since 2020, Talented Technology Training has run its enrolment on a platform we host and maintain — students self-register and pay on the provider's own site, staff manage the catalog and take assisted bookings from one admin, and there's no registration software for the client to build or keep running.
